Three Peaks Challenge

This summer, a group of our staff and students will be taking on the iconic Three Peaks Challenge and are aiming to raise £10,000 for our school provision Fund to support us in the development of our catering area.

Leaving LAP  on Friday 21st June, they will attempt to climb the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in under 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is a huge 3064 metres (10,052ft).

The three mountains that form the challenge are the tallest mountains in their respective countries:

  • Scafell Pike is the tallest in England - (978m)

  • Ben Nevis is the tallest in Scotland - (1345m)

  • Snowdon is the tallest in Wales - (1085m)

Staff and students will be helping to raise funds alongside those taking part in the challenge, and there will be some great events for our community to get involved with. We have a few surprises up our sleeves, but what we can share with you is the fact that our Summer Fair will be taking place on Saturday 29th June, so that we can all celebrate the completion of the challenge together.
